It's December! and i still dont have a computer :( i'm pretttty sure you're sick of hearing about that but geeze louise it makes me sad.
Anywho,
Its funny how all throughout November people speak of Christmas & I hear Christmas music and i'm like "No! hush! its too early to be thinking of such things! Thanksgiving's not even here yet!" and then all of the sudden it's December 3rd and i'm panicking. "WHAT?! It's Decemeber?! OMG! Christmas is in 22 days! I need to buy more presents! Where are our Christmas decorations hiding?! i need to unpack them! HONEY!!! HELP!!"
LOL seriously, i'm insane. But i'm also oh so excited for my most favorite time of year :)
Since the husband & I have been together we have always gotten our tree the day after Thanksgiving but this year we did not so i'm feeling a bit lost and a lot jealous of our neighbors tree, which i see twinkling through their window every night. Hey! I say, i want those twinkles too! But we've been busy bees this year so hopefully, no scratch that, we ARE going to make time to go pick out our tree this weekend :P
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_20&listing_id=17955120 When i'm on twitter or hear people around me speaking of "putting together" or "putting up" their Christmas trees, it makes me a little sad! I mean, it seems funny to me. I dont want to build my tree and stick the branches in a tall metal rod! I wanna go to our favorite Christmas Tree Farm and wonder around in the ccccold and ponder which tree is our favorite while sipping hot cocoa & eating hot cinnamon rolls from the stands nearby :)
I mean, dont get me wrong, i'm not hatin on artificial trees, they certainly are more cost effective AND less messy! But i guess it's just one of those traditions that i insist on that makes me spoiled, well according to my husband anyway ;)

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone else find whole cranberry sauce disgusting?? ugh. It's not even the taste that does it for me, its the nasty texture! :D
For some reason tho, I do enjoy the jelled kind, the one that comes out can shaped? LOL yep, that one. I realize this is probably ghetto of me to admit but pshhh, i'm alright with that ;) I even conned Isaiah into liking it years ago by telling him it was "Thanksgiving Jello" ha. But hey, what did he know? and it worked! :D
Anywho, i'll end this ridiculously random blog post on that weird note. I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving and are having fun preparing for Christmas!

10 people had something to say! :):
I love "Thanksgiving Jello" too! And I agree- the canned kind is the best!
by all means woman: go get that tree! I know what you mean,my fam usually gets their tree the day after too, but this year Jon and I are moving so no tree for us until a week from now :( So go get your tree so I can live vicariously
I don't even GET a Christmas tree, how's that?
Haha. We don't have enough money for things like that. (Last year we got a tiny little tree that was living and in a pot from Trader Joe's. Yay.)
I love cranberry sauce. Sorry! :) And those cute ornaments. Adorable!
Those ornaments are the CUTEST!
I totally understand the real tree thing. We always get a real tree. It's something that I've kept tradition in our home too, and thankfully my husband is all good with it since he always had a fake tree growing up and hated it :) I just love the smell and how pretty it looks.
What a fun post! I'm glad you blogged!
I love all of the pictures you used... the first one is vintage cool ... CUTE ornaments! Mama likes! .. and that last little birdie is adorable!
OK, you are crazy. That stuff in a can is nastypants! I like Trader Joes' cranberry sauce that has oranges in it! YUM! Have you tried it?
And I totally agree .. you gotta have the real tree! Can't wait to get ours! But I also hate rearranging the living room. Gotta get the real tree for the pine scent! Yummmm! So good! And it's just so festive and special! And the fun of picking out a tree! Woo! SO fun! LOVE ornaments!
Love you too! Thanks for the ice cream sundae! yummm.
hehe... I love the random pictures and ramblings! Such fun!
we have an artificial tree... and as much as I love how EASY and non-messy and long-lasting it is, I do miss the smell of that pine. Pine-scented Febreze to the rescue!! (I know, I know, so not the same thing)
Randomness is great! I was just thinking I wanted to post...random! LOL! Because I have no real theme to post on!
We just put up our tree last night! FUN and all the decorations! I wanted real...but went out and bought a fake one! BLAH! I do lOVE REAL trees I'll get one next year!
I am so with you on the tree thing, although they are so expensive it's stupid. I just love the smell. I guess a candle would do the trick but it's NOT the same!!!!
Those x-mas ornaments are so adorable I think I'll make some with my leftover felt and gobs of buttons :)
I hate whole cranberry sauce too. Yuck! I love the stuff in the can. mmmhmmm
