he sang a song.

Last week Isaiah performed in his schools Christmas Program choir and we were so excited to watch him perform b/c my son is a HOOT. Isaiah is seriously one of the most dramatic & one of the most hilarious children i've ever met. He has such a BIG personality that no matter what he does it's guaranteed to be entertaining in some way or another.
Sometimes it's not so entertaining to me as his (not so occasionally exasperated or frustrated) mother but he almost always gets a chuckle from someone in the near vicinity, even if it's just his silly little brother ;)

Auntie Sarah and Uncle Johnny (my boys LOVE their Sarah & Johnny, it's SO cute!), my mom, my youngest brother Joraie, Teejay, Malachi and I all sat down to watch the school musical and Isaiah didn't disappoint ;)
I really wish i had some digital video to show you of some of the stuff that went down that night. (Including very exaggerative (but very cute) singing, nose picking, accidently losing his balance & knocking down 3 or 4 of the kids standing behind him...things of that sort ;])
After the show, some of us loaded up and headed over to 31 Flavors for some yummy ice cream & chit chattin' annnnnd photo taking, OF COURSE!
All in all, it proved to be a pretty good time :D

Tried six hundred and twelve times for what was supposed to be a "quick family pic before we go" but turned into the 15min world marathon for a decent shot where everyone was looking in the same direction & smiling. (I should know better by now.) I settled on this one ;)

In between shots Malachi gave his brother some love & I wanted to snap the moment so i shouted "honey! quick! smile!" Isaiah heard me & flashed his pearly whites too :) ha.

Isaiah being his usual silly self before the program started.

Almost everyone that attends his tiny private school.

This was taken at the end of the program during the closing prayer i believe...someone looks TIRED. *yawn* :)

Malachi & John

Isaiah & Sarah

TeeJay and his milkshake, he ONLY eats ice cream in milkshake form! Strange right??

He was very proud of this smiley face he drew in his sherbert, he INSISTED I take a picture LOL!

cheeeeeese!

we luv em ♥

xoxo

BFF!

Because we dont know how to JUST take a normal picture :P

It was a great night.
The boys were pleased b/c they got to stay up til 10pm on a school night (gasp!) and TeeJay & I realized once again how blessed we are to have such fantastic friends and family who love & support us and our kids so much :D

random blurbs.

It's December! and i still dont have a computer :( i'm pretttty sure you're sick of hearing about that but geeze louise it makes me sad.

Anywho,
Its funny how all throughout November people speak of Christmas & I hear Christmas music and i'm like "No! hush! its too early to be thinking of such things! Thanksgiving's not even here yet!" and then all of the sudden it's December 3rd and i'm panicking. "WHAT?! It's Decemeber?! OMG! Christmas is in 22 days! I need to buy more presents! Where are our Christmas decorations hiding?! i need to unpack them! HONEY!!! HELP!!"

LOL seriously, i'm insane. But i'm also oh so excited for my most favorite time of year :)

Since the husband & I have been together we have always gotten our tree the day after Thanksgiving but this year we did not so i'm feeling a bit lost and a lot jealous of our neighbors tree, which i see twinkling through their window every night. Hey! I say, i want those twinkles too! But we've been busy bees this year so hopefully, no scratch that, we ARE going to make time to go pick out our tree this weekend :P

When i'm on twitter or hear people around me speaking of "putting together" or "putting up" their Christmas trees, it makes me a little sad! I mean, it seems funny to me. I dont want to build my tree and stick the branches in a tall metal rod! I wanna go to our favorite Christmas Tree Farm and wonder around in the ccccold and ponder which tree is our favorite while sipping hot cocoa & eating hot cinnamon rolls from the stands nearby :)

I mean, dont get me wrong, i'm not hatin on artificial trees, they certainly are more cost effective AND less messy! But i guess it's just one of those traditions that i insist on that makes me spoiled, well according to my husband anyway ;)

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone else find whole cranberry sauce disgusting?? ugh. It's not even the taste that does it for me, its the nasty texture! :D

For some reason tho, I do enjoy the jelled kind, the one that comes out can shaped? LOL yep, that one. I realize this is probably ghetto of me to admit but pshhh, i'm alright with that ;) I even conned Isaiah into liking it years ago by telling him it was "Thanksgiving Jello" ha. But hey, what did he know? and it worked! :D

Anywho, i'll end this ridiculously random blog post on that weird note. I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving and are having fun preparing for Christmas!
